Krista Anderson knows great food. She came to the Pacific Northwest after graduating from culinary school, pursuing her passion for farm-to-table cuisine. Once here, she fell in love with the ever-changing rotation of incredible fresh ingredients. In 2001 Krista joined the New Seasons family as a store chef, soon working her way up to Company Chef. After years running restaurants like Portland’s Wildwood and Cypress Club in San Francisco, Krista had built relationships with local farmers, producers and ranchers that shared her love for quality and craftsmanship. She immediately went to work creating inventive recipes using the best local and organic produce, pasture raised meats and sustainable seafood the region has to offer. While there are some New Seasons recipes that were around since the beginning (banana cake, anybody?) most of our customer and staff faves are Krista Anderson originals.
